On a recent trip to Washington DC, my husband and I got to spend time with Tim, my uncle-in-law, and his beautiful canine family. They made room for us in their home and really made our vacation special. The minute we arrived it became obvious that Zach and Zoe were more than just pets, they were beloved members of the family! I can identify with this situation, as I personally live with three beautiful cats and a mischievous little chinchilla, all of whom I love dearly. It’s my belief that every family should have portraits of all their children, human and animal alike, so one morning during our visit we made time for an outdoor portrait session with these two amazing dogs.

Here Zach and Zoe ponder the important questions in life- if a piece of food falls on the golf course and no dog is there to eat it, who cleans it up?

What dog wouldn’t love playing in this leaf pile!
